As I was crossing the 205 bridge on my way home from school today, I heard a call to the Coast Guard about a possible person in the water at Lady Island.
As the Command Center was trying to piece things together and notify vessels in the area, an all familiar voice came over that radio. Ken Babick and 173 was in route to the possible person in the water and that they would notify the Command Center when at Lady Island.
B.Z. 173, you are always counted on during the weekend to respond to these SAR cases. You help keep the boating public safe as well as assist the boater in distress.
Thanks for your service, Ken, crew and 173.
